Now more women are graduating from dental school than ever before. It has gone from 13% in 1980 to 56% in 2022 with this number increasing annually. This kind of statistic has historical significance and inspired us to stop and recognize the pioneers who have helped pave the way for such progress. This film shares the story of Dr. Sharon Parsons, former President of the ODA, practicing dentist, and forerunner for opioid addiction awareness and education. Her story begins in the late 1970s in dental school and takes us on a journey of experiences she triumphed over to get to where she is today. The documentary celebrates the female figures in dentistry who have paved the way for future generations of students to run further faster.

The President of The Ohio State University's local ASDA chapter, Fiona Chambers, and many more remarkable women (and friends) whose stories not only inspire us but display the resolve and determination needed to create a true shift in the profession.
