Digital Marketing in a Digital Age

Where's the Humanity??!??!

The great Joanna Scott once posted a caption on her Instagram stating:

“We’re all hardwired for human connection–it’s at the core of who we are… It’s more than just work–it’s about connection, collaboration, and creating something enduring together.”

And, well, if that ain’t the TRUTH! 🙌🏼

In the world of ask-and-you-shall-receive, same-day deliveries, and AI-generated cats climbing the corporate ladder, it is safe to say that we are living in the digital age – so where’s the humanity in it all?

As humans who long to connect, technology can be an excellent tool to share your story. With the help of social media platforms, Google Business Profiles, and custom-built websites, we have the capability to connect here & now. And, better yet, we can do it authentically when we keep the human at the center of the messaging.

Here at Studio 8E8 we believe your story is worth it. We live by that slogan by focusing on YOU, fostering connection with our clients and helping them bring what makes them unique to the forefront. Our team of real-life creative & marketing strategists, designers, web developers, copywriters, and social media strategists work together to get to know your brand and customize your online presence. While we absolutely need to utilize technology, we believe that the humans working behind the scenes are the ones creating the real magic. ✨

Isn’t it nice to know that you have a whole team of experts in your corner, cheering you on?

Connection & Collaboration

Our digital presence is an extension of our physical one. How do you want to be perceived? How are you going to tell your story? Who you chose to work with and how you intend to cultivate a community around your brand is essential. Creating a brand in today’s day and age takes a lot of planning and intention. At Studio 8E8, we help build and familiarize ourselves with your brand through a number of practices:

  • Connection Calls: To kick off every project with Studio 8E8, we host a welcome call to not only align on the goals of your project, but to also take the time to get to know YOU, human-to-human. This initial meeting is a great way to connect with our team and verbalize any questions or concerns you may have.
  • “Homework” Items: Homework? Yes, Homework. But this is the fun kind! 😉 Our team uses a series of questionnaires to help you think through your vision in depth. This is an incredible opportunity for you to identify paramount aspects of your brand such as your core values, mission statement, and how you want to impact your community. Approach this homework with the intention of communicating to your audience as authentically as possible. The more you express, the more humanity will appear in your final website.
  • Communication: When you work with Studio 8E8, you are assigned a dedicated team who will guide you on your marketing journey. After your initial welcome call, our strategists communicate your preferences, human-to-human, to the rest of your team so everyone is on board with your vision and goals. Plus, when it comes to communication we deeply value responsiveness – with you and with each other. So when you have a question, avoid the Google rabbit hole and ask the experts instead! We’ll back you up.
  • Creating a People-First Website: Building humanity into the process as much as possible also helps us create a website experience that’s pleasing and convenient for the end user – your future patient!

Creating something enduring together

Here’s something we stand by: human-centered brands designed for human-serving professionals, and human-friendly websites for humans (got all that? 😅) endure over time. Could you build a brand by the end of the day with an AI-generated logo, Chat GPT-style mission statement, and one heck of an edited headshot? Sure! However, we believe that quality brands take time and intention to build.

The digital age makes life easier, simpler, and more convenient. But, today, I ask you: is easier, simpler, and convenient really better when it comes to building a community behind a brand that endures over time? Don’t forego the authentic story you want to tell or the best representation of your unique brand for the sake of convenience. While digital tools can help you find the right road, human connection is what will ultimately guide you to success.
